The Environment City website offers comprehensive information about the environmental scene in Leicester. The site is managed by the Leicester Environment Partnership a network of all the main environmental organisations operating in the city. We have tried not to duplicate information held in the partners own web sites so we have included lots of links to help you find out more details where required.
The 6th annual Leicester Green Life Awards took place in December to acknowledge and celebrate the positive environmental work in Leicester City that has taken place in the last 12 months.
There were award categories for the best environmental contribution from businesses, community organisations, not-for-profit organisations, schools and major projects.
The overall winner this year was Groundwork Leicester and Leicestershire's Land and Biodiversity Team in a colaborative venture: BioBlitz

Leicester City Council recently set up a Climate Change Board which includes an Expert Advisory Group. This was seen as an opportunity to invigorate the current Leicester Environment Partnership and exploit the knowledge and experience of its members by taking on the role of the Expert Advisory Group.
As such, the Leicester Environment Partnership will now be known as the Leicester Environmental Experts Group.
