1. To develop an environmental vision and strategy for Leicester
2. To share information and encourage greater shared working between partner organisations
3. To raise the profile of environmental issues and to encourage environmental action by other bodies
4. To act as a consultee on environmental issues affecting the city
5. To monitor and review the environmental targets in the Community Plan
