Green life Awards 2009

The 5th annual Green Life Awards took place on 7th May 2009. Sandra Herbert of Leicestershire Food Links spoke to a full house on the role of local food in the community followed by the awards ceremony and prize giving by the Deputy Lord Mayor of Leicester.

Applications for the Green Life Awards were categorised into Best Environmental Contribution by a Business, a School, a Community Group, a Not-for-Profit organisation, Young Person, Major Project and a special category for the Best Contribution to tackling Climate Change.


Judges were impressed by the quality and variety of applicants this year, demonstrating the commitment to the environment shown by a wide variety of people and organisations around Leicester.
