Green Life Awards 2008

The 4th annual Leicester Environment Partnership event entitled "Our Environment, Our Future," took place on Tuesday 11th March. Sir Peter Soulsby, MP for Leicester South spoke to a full house on the subject “ Can local action change the world?” followed by the Green Life Awards 2008 ceremony and prize giving by the Lord Mayor of Leicester.

Applications for the Green Life Awards were categorised into Best Environmental Contribution by a Business, a School, a Community Group or Individual, a Not-for-Profit organisation and a special category for the Best Contribution to tackling Climate Change. There was also a new category for Best Environmental Contribution by a Young Person sponsored by The Prince's Trust.
