The annual Leicester Environment Partnership (LEP) event, entitled 'Our Environment, Our Future', was held on 9th March 2005 at the New Walk museum, Leicester. The event was a celebration of good environmental practice and a chance for people with an interest in the environment to get together.
The Leicester Green Life Awards ceremony formed part of the event. Over 50 applications were received for the awards, demonstrating the commitment to the environment shown by a wide variety of people and organisations around Leicester. The LEP was extremely encouraged by the high standard of the applications and judging was difficult. However, 11 category winners were eventually agreed upon.
