Whilst the quality of the environment in Leicester is very important to local people, we need to be aware that activities in the city also affect the wider environment. The well used phrase 'think global, act local' is still very applicable. Whilst trying to improve the local environment we must also accept our responsibility to reduce our detrimental impacts on the wider world.
